才に秀でた少女達3人＋普通の少女1人のひと夏の趣味のアルバイト。戦闘機を少し修理して飛ばすというジュブナイルな展開です。ストーリーとしては、あらすじにあるように直球な展開です。
選外だったそうですが、リライトで文章がかなり向上したのでしょうか。あるいは、投稿作はもっと話がブチキレだったのかな？
読み始めは文章がやや硬い感じもありましたがそれも作風かも、苦もなく読めます。
特に終盤の空戦シーンなどは楽しんで読めました。

続編で飛行機を飛ばすのは難しそうですが、メンバーそのままで続編も書けそうではあります。あるいは同じ世界の続編とか。一方で、これだけきっちりと文章かけるなら、まったく違う作品も読んでみたい気持ちもあります。
とりあえず、本作は一読の価値アリ。

いくら天才だからって女子高生4人（+大人2人）だけで戦闘機を修理するというのは無理があるんじゃないかなーとは思いました。とくに千鶴は高校生なのに兵器に関する専門的な知識を持ちすぎていて少々怖かったです。でもキャラ同士の会話が面白く、読み進めていくうちにそういったことは気にならなくなりました。
ラストの芹香&ヴァルティ vs 彩夏さんの空中戦の描写はかなり真に迫るものがあり、非常に楽しめました。あと猫かわいい。
続編が出るなら買います。出るかどうかわかりませんが、エピローグの会話に伏線めいたものがあったので出してもおかしくないでしょう。

5.0 out of 5 stars 電撃の賞ってホントに面白さで選んでんの？, 2009/9/12
それぞれが突出した工学的な才能をもった４人の少女による物語。これはガツっとキました。
ラブもコメもなく、１５年前に戦争が起こったという現代日本が舞台となりますが戦争の湿り気はほとんど無く、ひと夏のテロという少女４人を中心とした物語を一気に読ませます。熱い！の一言に尽きます。
とある飛行士の追憶で空戦の描写に燃えた人なら食いつきますね。読後感は爽快と言って良いでしょう。「やってやったぜ！」的なカタルシスを味わえます。
後書きで電撃大賞の選外とありましたが、webで500万ビューを達成して大賞を獲った同期の某小説と比べると明らかにこっちの方が面白いし巧いんですが・・・・
やっぱり大きな賞となると面白さより話題性の方が優先されるんですね。大人の事情が垣間見えて残念な気持ちになりました。ラノベ読みとしてはきちっと面白い小説を書く作家さんに長く、安定して小説を書いてほしいのでこのレビューを見た方できれば買って読んでみてください。新人とは思えない文章です。
オススメです。
