高値で取引されることが多い『名器』とはどういうものなのか？

作者は、ヴァイオリンをＦ１カーに例えています。
楽器の能力を余すことなく発揮するためには、絶えず調整が必要です。
その調整が当代一流の奏者によって３００年もの間行われ続けたという時間の重みが、
名器を生むのだといいます。
そして、単純に３００年もの長きの間、現役として音を奏で続けられるという事実への驚きが
あるじゃないかといいます。

単純明快ですが非常に納得できます。
確かに昨日今日つくられた楽器では、この時間の重みに対向できそうにありません。

この本を読むと、一度生演奏を聞いてみたいという気になります。

名器の写真が豊富で、文章もわかり易くて、とても面白いです。ストラディヴァリウスに関する筆者の分析は冷静で、大変信頼できるものだと思います。超お勧めです！
