今巻は、今までのような、一つの大きな事件を描く巻ではありません。
7巻目とされてはいますが、中身は短編集のようなものです。

前巻の泡禍が片付いた後、主人公達の周りでは暫しの平穏が続いており、その中で主人公達が解決に導いた『普通の事件』が2つ収録されております。
その2つとは、2006年と2007年の夏に電撃hpで発表された短編なのですが、色々な都合上この位置に置かれたようです。

もう一つ、風乃がまだ生きていた頃に起きた出来事を描く中編も収録されています。
こちらは完全新作です。主人公の蒼衣は出てきませんが、まだ明るく素直だった頃の雪乃が見られます。

物語全体としての動きはほとんどありません。
甲田式メルヘンの世界を楽しみたい方、キャラクターの魅力に浸りたい方にはオススメです。
ちなみに、痛覚を刺激する描写はほとんど無いですが、想像しただけで此方まで気分が悪くなるような描写は多々あります。

今巻は短編集で、内容はある占いをした少女の話。すれ違った友情の話。過去の雪乃や風乃が出てくるかなりブラックな話の三話。今巻も2枚ページを使った絵が有りますが、今巻の話では話の途中に挿絵が有り、挿絵の中には風乃の絵も有ります。

断章のグリムのシリーズは、毎かん読んでいますが、今冊の中盤の話で、風乃がなぜ、あんな性格になったのかわかりました。

今度は、<葬儀屋>達とかの過去も知りたいです。
