「ヤング田中Ｋ一」のビジネス編と捉えてください。
本作品は、オモチャ業界のしくみをギャグを織り交ぜて描いています。

先輩たちの色々な仕事術。人の数だけ仕事術がある。
生活がかかっているだけに、いつだって真剣のオモチャ問屋さんとの駆け引き。
大人の社会はいつだって勉強の場ですね。

製品ＰＲ、在庫の手配、新製品開発、問題解決能力、新規市場開拓の精神。
どれもサラリーマンだったら問われる能力です。

ギャグ漫画と侮るなかれ。
サラリーマンの方、これから社会に出る学生さん。
必読です。

　田中圭一の｢タ○ラ｣モノなら、発見次第、即買いです。
　お下品テイストは相変わらずですが、『ヤング田中K一』の時ほどではない。
　それでも、着せ替え人形に｢魂｣を入れる営業マンの話は、やっぱ目の前にそういう人がいたら、あんまり近づきたくないかも(モデルがいるってところが、ちょっとイヤ)。
　しかし私がこのシリーズが好きなのは、やっぱりオモチャ業界の内幕がセキララに描かれているから。マンガの合間に作者インタビューが5本ばかり挿まれていて、裏話を明かしているのだが、笑ったのが｢プルプルタマちゃん｣の話。爆発的ヒットになったのはいいけど、TV放映が終わった瞬間から売れなくなって部材を大量に余らせてしまう。プルプル振動を生み出す装置部分を処理するために、｢プルプルエミリー｣なる商品を開発するのだが、何とこれ、実話に基づいているんですって！　オモチャ業界って、なんてイージーな世界！
　あと、帯や表紙カバーは一応剥がしてみてください。いろいろ隠れています。

大幅な絵柄の変更という葛藤がありながらも、
その軸はぶれてない。迷わないかっこいい人。
まさに、人間、人間性を書かせたら当代NO1作家のサラリーマン時代の
実話をベースにした、「人間」物語。

本書を読み、人間とは？働くこととは？ということの本質を読み取ってほしい。
