アスファルトとコンクリートに囲まれた日常。キッチンには、海外からやってきた野菜や、季節に関わりなく採れる食べ物があふれている。エアコンで、管理された室温。そんな生活のなか、ほっとするような自然を呼び起こさせてくれる一冊になっている。
風の音は聞こえるけれど、風を見ることはできない。でも、ふとした瞬間・・・目に映る風景に心を奪われる。そういう毎日を暮らせるヒントがこの本には、隠されているようだ。

写真たっぷりで、最近の「和ブーム」テイストの歳時記という感じの本でした。
あらためて、「この時期になぜその行事をするのか」などが読めて楽しめます。

ただ、この手の本を手に取る人だと、大体の大まかなことは知っているような気が
するので、ここまで正当派だとちょっと物足りないかもしれません。書いてある内容は
たっぷりなのですが、踏み込みが甘いというか。

「端午の節句は古来、薬草をつみに行った日」と説明のあるページに、さらに
主な薬草とその効能がコラム的に書かれていたりして、百科事典風にも楽しめたし
着物の柄や日本の色などは、カラーの本なので一目瞭然にわかるし、悪くはないのですが
何かが物足りない。

　もしかしたら、私は旧暦というものを「日本人のライフスタイルにあっているものなの
では？」と思って、何かしら現代に行かせる知恵が書いてあるのではないか、なんて
期待して読み始めたのでちょっと肩透かしを食らった感じなのかもしれません。昔の知恵を
今に生かす、とかアドバイス、ではなく　ほんとに「わかりやすい歳時記」なのです。

　和暦のあるくらし、というタイトルから勝手に予想したほうが悪いのですが
もしこの本を読むならば、俳句のためとか、昔の人の行事を知りたいというならば
おすすめしますが、整体の流れとか、暮らしの知恵の流れでこの本のタイトルに
惹かれた方にはおすすめしません。
