　鋼鉄の塊である冷たい戦車に、小さな体の少女達は押し込められ、そして、おしっこを漏らしながらも戦います……。

　ストーリー的な魅力というよりは、設定や台詞回しに萌える作品でしょうか。

　また、作者の作品に対するこだわりも感じられ、雑誌掲載時より大幅な加筆――全書き換え？くらいの情熱があります。戦車から“女の子”まで、“細部”に渡り手が加えられているようです。

　素人にはお薦めできません。戦車が大好きな男の子はどうぞごらんあれ。

「エルフ耳の美少女」たちが主役だから、とかいった、見せかけに騙されてはいけない。

　この作品には「戦争物」に必須のエッセンスが大方含有されている。例えば、戦車をはじめとするフェティシュな兵器群の書き込み、砲撃戦や白兵戦、籠城戦などのバリエーションに富んだ戦場、兵員不足から幼くして前線に送り込まれてくる「使えない」新兵、（一見）無能な将官と有能な下士官との衝突、戦略、謀略、塹壕、土嚢、怒号……。

「こんだけ緻密でシビアな設定つくっといたら、別にオンナノコみたいな売れ線用意せんでもそれなりにユーザー掴めるんとちゃうか？」

　などと、思わないのでもないのだが、掲載誌が「エース桃組」ではそうもいきませんかそうですか。いやまあ、どこまでがマーケットを配慮した妥協の産物でどこまでが制作者たちの趣味かは容易に判断しづらいところですが、みせかけに反して、内容的にはけっこうシリアスです。ものが「戦争物」なわけで、手足を失ったり、負傷しても医療品がなくて放置されたり、といった描写も逃げずにやっていて、それどころか、捕虜になった女性兵士がまとめて敵兵たちに陵辱される、とかいうシーンも（おそらくは読者サービスではなく、戦争というものの悲惨さを強調するために）用意されています。

　でも、そうしたパーツのひとつひとつを取り出してみると、過去の膨大な作品群の中にいくらでも類似するシーンなりシチュエーションなりというものが散見されるわけで、そういう意味ではあまり独創性がないというか、いわゆる「戦争物」のお約束から逸脱するところが少ないので読んでいて物足りないような印象も正直かなり受けます。

「通俗的な娯楽作品」として読む分には、特に支障ないとは思いますが。

まず絵の雑さが目立つ点がマイナス。
ストーリー全般、登場人物から受ける印象もパッとしない。
少女だけの戦車部隊と少年も含む歩兵部隊の混成部隊の物語。
戦争に駆り出された彼らの苦悩と成長を描くというのが主眼なのだろうが
いまいち心に訴えてくるものがない。ストーリーの構成・演出もイマイチ。
