　さて、高校時代の１回が見事にビンゴで父親になった主人公。試行錯誤しながら親子関係を築いていきます。授業参観で他の親は車で来るのを自転車で来たりするけど、ゲームの話題でみんなの注目の的になった主人公。それを何か誇らしく思う娘の叶。段々、ほのぼのしたコミックになってきています。けど、オタクネタもちりばめられており非常に秀逸な内容となっています。

いわゆるオタクである青年・守崎耕太(26)のもとに、見知らぬ少女・幸村叶(かなう)が訪ねてくる。叶(9)はなんと、耕太の実の娘だった!…という展開で始まった物語の2巻目です。

とある理由から、会って間もなく同じ屋根の下で暮らすことになった父と娘が、不器用ながらも少しずつ親子の絆を深めていく姿が、個性的な寮の住人たちとのふれあいやオタクなネタを絡めながら丁寧に描かれています。急に父になってしまった耕太の戸惑いや自分の趣味と娘の狭間で揺れ動く姿、理想と現実の父のギャップに頭を抱えながらも一生懸命父と関わっていこうとする叶の姿が、非常によく描き分けられていて面白いです。

今回は15話で深刻なテーマがぶつけられました…話は次巻に続きますが、どんな結末になるか気になります。

タイヤキ羽リュック・腹ペコ騎士王・フナムシさんといったネタも満載ながら、父親になることとはについても描かれている傑作だと思います。

　二巻二話目で体張って娘を助けた人間が、二巻最後で風邪引いた娘にあんな態度をとるんでしょうか……？
　少なくとも二回目の電話で帰る様な気がするんですが。

　と思ってたら、あとがきで「web漫画版も波紋を呼んだ」とのこと。
　いやまぁ、いい展開だと思いますが、もうちょっと時系列考えて、一巻の終わりとかに入れたほうがよかったかもしれませんね。
　作者の考えているキャラと自分の中で確立したキャラとの差が、自分は結構気になるタイプでして、実際、違和感ありました。
　正直、あまりの最低父親っぷりに、引く人も居るはずです。


　でも星四つとしてるのは、漫画としては正しい展開だと思うからです。
　特に、こういう『なんとなく最終回の形が見える漫画』では、山あり谷ありの展開は重要です。

　「まんが家は読者がひくくらいの事をしなくてはダメだ」とは、とある漫画家の言葉ですが、言いえて妙だと思います。
　ここでこの漫画に引いてしまった読者は、購入をやめるでしょう。
　ですが、同時に「読者が引く程」の強烈な展開であり、カタルシスを求める読者も居るはずです。


　まぁつまりは、この巻まで読んで、引かなかったら続きを買いましょう、ってことです。
　自分はまだ付き合えそうです。娘があまりに可哀想ですから。
