内田樹先生のご本をまずは一冊読んでみるか・・・と思ったのはよいのですが、まことに一冊目には向かない本を買ってしまいました！　だって、内田先生ご本人が掲載誌を覚えていらっしゃらないものすら含まれた注文原稿、「お蔵出し」テキスト３７編を甦らせた本なのですから。当然テーマもばらばら。どう考えても一冊目に不向きです。一編一編はおもしろいのです。でも・・・・疲れました。（ひょっとして、これに限らず、内田先生のご本とはこのような傾向があるのでしょうか？　エッセイはブログを編集者が切り貼りして作っている、とあとがきにあったものですから）　これぐらいで疲れるようでは、脳の鍛錬がたりないのかもしれません。

またしても思ってしまったのですが、新書を今、中身を見ないで買うのは大変な危険を伴いますね。この本にしても、タイトルと帯と内容がずれていませんか？　アマゾンさんの紹介文も・・・

新書を買うのに、編集者で当たり外れに見当をつける方法をすすめると書いておられたのはどなただったか・・・？　失敗したくないならば、せめてまえがき、あとがき、できれば編集者の名前をチェックして買うのが望ましいのでしょうね。（この本の編集者のお名前はしっかり頭にインプットしました）　というとやはり書店に出向かないとダメですかねえ・・・・・はあ・・・

初めてこの方の本を読みました。
「哲学者」なんですか？そうですか。

最近の新書にありがちな「題名で売る」手法に染まらず、
出会って（買って）得をしたー、と思った本です。
また、エッセイ集なので、一粒で色々な味を楽しめる。
まえがきからして、なんだか面白い。
まだ著者の作品を未経験の人は、
なんだったら、まえがきとあとがきだけでも立ち読みしてみてください。

著者は、何か伝えたいことがあるから書くのではなく、
まだ知らないことを知るために書く、と言います。
そうして繰り広げられる文章空間は、限りなく知的で批判的、そして楽しい。
著者は、仮に「態度が悪」いとしても、間違いなくいい人ですね。

う〜ん
納得して、わかったような気になるけど
やはりわからないのは私の頭が悪いかなあ
と思わせられるところは
学生時代に要領のいい友人としゃべったあとのようでした。
頭がいい人で、真剣に考えていて、遊んでいるふりをしているけど
実はとても勉強している人たち

それをわかろうとしないのは私が悪いのか幼稚なのか
いいとか悪いとかの問題ではなく。
要するに比較しちゃいけないのですよね。
なんだか寂しいなあ
でもなんだか奥歯にものが
でも。。
と混乱させられる生身の人間のような本でした。
かっこつけやファッションではない感覚の鋭さ、明るさを持たれた作者だと思いました。友達が多そうでうらやましい。私にはやや痛かったです。
かっこいいとは思わないけど優れているのだろうと思います。
