東方シリーズというのは同人で人気を博してるシューティングゲームですが、
単なる弾幕STGという側面だけではなく、その魅力的なキャラクターも人気のひとつであるわけです。

それでこの本ですが、残念ながら、大方の人気のあるキャラはほとんど登場せず、
それでいてストーリーも東方のストーリーに直接関わってくる物でもなく、
別に東方じゃなくてもいいんじゃないの？って思いたくなるものだったり。
世界観をもっと深く知りたいなら東方求聞史紀等の設定本を読んだ方がマシな気もします。

まあ、このページ数でこの値段はどうかと思いますが、
それにも増してキャラ紹介の誤植が多い。
説明ははてなダイアリー辺りからそのまま持ってきてるものもあるし、キャラ絵が明らかに間違っている物もある。
こんな物売ってて恥ずかしくないんだろうか？

コンプエースを購読してなかった人にとっては非常にお薦めです。
上海アリス通信までしっかり載っているので、ZUN氏の言葉も存分に楽しめます。
更に付属のCDも、まさしく東方といった感じの楽曲。
ゲームとはまた違ったまったり具合は、東方（の世界観）好きとしてはゲットしておきたい作品ですね。

ただ、紅魔郷〜花映塚までの一言キャラ紹介があるんですが、キャラ名と絵を間違えるのは如何なものかと…。
他にも設定が明らかにおかしかったりして、多分そこはZUN氏が関わっていないんだろうなということが見て取れます。
そこら辺の杜撰さが、星４つの理由ですね。詳しくは東方wikiをどうぞ。

とは言え他の部分に関しては素晴らしい出来ですし、勿論コンプエースを購読していた人も書き下ろし小説や音楽で十二分に楽しめると思います。
幻想郷のまったりライフを楽しみたい方は、是非。

同人ＳＴＧ東方Projectのコミック作品ですが、オリジナルキャラである光の三妖精が主人公です。
戦闘力が殆ど無いという設定の妖精ですが、その分、悪戯に精を出して前向きに生きています。
書き下ろしの小説は、三妖精の一人であるルナチャイルドが、八雲紫と邂逅する話です。三妖精で括れば森近霖之助とも邂逅しています。
特に山も無ければオチも無いし、理解出来るかといえばファンとしても理解出来ない作品ではありますが、一気に読んでどこかゆるい気分になれました。
ある意味、東方文花帖や東方求聞史紀より初心者向けかもしれません。漫画だしね。

しかし、初心者向けのコーナーである「幻想郷住民人別帖」が頂けません。
誤植と嘘設定だらけで、適当にページ数を水増しするために作られたようなページなので、鵜呑みにすべきではありません。

でも、それ以外の本編・小説・音楽CDは、かなり「東方」してて良い出来なので、星5つで。
