もう、なんていうか。
古くさいくらいに古くさくて、使いふるされたモチーフなのに。
天才少女のシンデレラストーリー！
努力！　友情！　勝利！
王道をひたすら突っ走り、お約束と予定調和の勧善懲悪が怒濤のように満載で、そのくせ今まで読んだことない面白さ！　独特の言語センスと演出が引きたてる物語はすごいの一言！
日日日の作品ではいちばん面白い！　特に四巻からの第二部からは神がかってます！　お勧めです！

驚きました。この作品をあの「ちーちゃんは悠久の向こう」や「私の優しくない先輩」と同じ作家が書いたということに。
ホラー、恋愛ときて学園ファンタジーです。作風も文体もがらっと変えてきました。

現界（カナイ）と虚界（アンダカ）のふたつにわかれている世界。
アンダカには怪造生物（モンスター）と呼ばれる生物が棲んでいます。
そのアンダカのモンスターをカナイに召喚するのが怪造。
主人公・空井伊依はモンスターを怪造するものの見習、怪造学者見習（モンティスト・エッグ）。
彼女はモンスターを友達と言い、モンスターたちと共存できる世界を夢見ています。
そんな夢を胸に古頃怪造高等学校に入学した伊依は早々に事件に巻き込まれ……。

というような話です。正統派の学園ファンタジーです。
想像が無限に広がるアンダカへの希望、モンティストの天才たちの思考。
伊依の行動と、まわりの活き活きとしたキャラクターたちとモンスター。
起、承の部分はそんなところで楽しみ、物語は一転します。
シリアスな展開。あぁ、と思いました。私はすごく伊依に感情移入していました。
伊依とともに悲しみ、進み、苦しみ、悲しみ、吹っ切る。
悲しい展開、だけどラストは清々しく、とても嬉しかったです。
良質の学園ファンタジー。続刊への伏線もたくさんあり、先がとても楽しみです。

日日日の五つあるデビュー作の一つ。
王道を全速力で爆走している感じ。ぐいぐい引き込まれ、気が付いたら物語の世界にのめり込んでいる。日日日の作品の中では最も文が過密で構成力も高い。特に四巻目から始まる第二部は一皮剥けた印象。
華々しい成功だけではなく、挫折や失敗を積み重ねて成長する主人公の姿がいい。
