山本 弘
1956年京都府生まれ。1987年、ゲーム創作集団「グループSNE」の一員となり、作家およびゲームデザイナーとしてデビュー。『時の果てのフェブラリー 赤方偏移世界』『ゴーストハンター』シリーズなどジュヴナイル作品で人気を博す。2003年、本格SFにして著者初の四六判ハードカバー『神は沈黙せず』(角川書店)を刊行。同作は読者の話題をさらい日本SF大賞候補に、さらに『アイの物語』(角川書店)では吉川英治文学新人賞候補となった。作家活動以外にも、クラシックSFアンソロジーの編集、トンデモ本を研究する「と学会」の会長など、その活動は多岐にわたる(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

と学会会長の短編集。

どこかで見たタイトルと思いつつも、そんな本はもっていなかったので、ネットで購入。で、読み始めてみると、内容はすべて平成16年に出版された『審判の日』と同じだった！ネットで本を購入する読者も増えているので、せめて過去の作品の改題であることは明示してほしかった。本の巻末には改題であるとは記されておりますが、これでは買うまで気づきません。

同じ内容の『審判の日』については書評公開済みですが、ホラー・サスペンス仕立ての内容が多く、SFファン以外でなくても容易に読むことができると思われます。内容はやや甘めかもしれませんが、星4つです。とほほ。

「神は沈黙せず」の山本弘の短編集。それぞれのテーマーはことなるが、世の中の超常現象（霊現象含む）を山本流の解き方で明かしていくスタンスは、同一時期に執筆していたという「神は沈黙せず」と共通のものがある。
昔から、「と学会」のファンである俺にはよく理解できるのだが、一般の読者が呼んでどう感じるのだろうと不安に思う。
物語のどれもが、一般的なホラー・サスペンス的な状況から入り、徐々に山本弘ワールドに侵食されていく。
この快感は是非大勢の読者に味わって欲しい。

『神は沈黙せず』とか『アイの物語』の作者の短編集。

ちょっとホラーぽくって怖いのもあるけど、審判の日とか表題作なんかは、とってもよく考えられている作品だ。

彼の長編もそうなんだけど、ただ単にアイデアがいいだけでなく、巧みなストーリーテリングでぐいぐい読ませていく。かなり、筆力のある人だと思うんだけど...
