この本はビーンズ文庫で読者賞を受賞した作品なのですが、読み終わって納得しました。
内容はありきたりと言えばありきたりなのですが、時間を忘れて読むことができます。新鮮さを求めている人はイマイチかもしれませんが、私はこういう王道ファンタジーも嫌いではないのでおすすめします。
最後の展開はやっぱり想像できるけど、違うラストを迎えるより満足できました。
平凡な市民の主人公が急に貴族の生活に。傍らには護ってくれる護衛。ラブコメというには恋愛要素が少ないですが、これからを想像して楽しめますね。
続編を匂わせる終わりな気もするのですが私はどちらでもいいと思います。これ一冊でも十分だと思いますが、恋愛の発展も期待したいとこなので（笑）

作者もあとがきで書いていますが本当の王道のラブコメだと思います。
双子の兄の身代わりもよくある設定だなと思いながら読んだが、周りの人々の奇人というか偏った性格というか個性のある人々のおかげで素直にページをめくっていけました。
身代わり時の設定も怪我して記憶喪失の部分があるということで周囲を何とかごまかしつつ事件の真相に迫っていくのが良かったですね。
主役のミレーユが天然のおかげでラブ面はそんなに進展度数が少ないですが。
出来ればこの１冊でこの話が終わっていると良いですね。無理矢理続きを書かれるとちょっと今後の話は辛そうですが。

読者賞受賞ということで買ってみました。
王道恋愛小説の売り文句に期待をこめていたのですが、ストーリーは確かに王道でも、恋愛面がちょっと薄かったように思います。
濃いキャラがそろっていて、期待は高まったけれど恋愛は次の巻に回された感じでしょうか。
面白いけど無難、そんな感想の本でした。
しかし、次巻の「身代わり伯爵の結婚」がラブコメが前面に押し出されていてとても好きなので、一巻は私にとっては場面設定の土台といった感じでした。
