変哲もないごくありふれた日常の中にある再発見。私にはいまいちピンと来なかったです…
次の展開が気になってしょうがないとゆう感じではなくだらだらと読み終えた感じです。
最後の解説を読んでもわかりそーでやっぱりわからない。。

極度の潔癖症の父親が支配する家庭。その父親が死んだ後、母親は心気症のような行動をとり、家とは決別したはずの主人公と兄、家に取り残された妹が集まる。
主人公の野々は、まともに恋ができないほどの劣等感、自分は愛されるわけがないという諦念を抱えて生きてきた。
父を探す旅は自分を探す旅になる。親を許す旅は自分を許す旅になる。
最初は入り込みづらかったが、力強く、前向きで、ハッピーな気持ちで読み終えることができた。特に、兄の恋人の啖呵は、痛快だ。

人生の不幸の原因は親であると怪気炎をあげている人が読むと、小説なんて作り物の綺麗事だと切り捨ててしまうだろうか。
小説が追いつかないような悲惨があるのはわかった上でなお、親への割り切れなさを抱えている大人に勧めたい。いつまでも親の所為にするのは格好悪いことを、この本から感じてほしい。

大人用に描いた今作。スタートから「カラフル」とは雰囲気が違っている。

主人公はフリーターである25歳の女性とその兄妹。
内容は、彼女らの父の死とその人生を探る物語。
これはあらすじだけ聞くとサスペンスの様にもとれるが、
どちらかというとこの作品は「ホームドラマ」。

著者・森絵都氏のいつもの滑らかで力強い文体は健在。
気づくと読み終わっている。途中で止められない独特のスピード感。爽快。

　変わった設定もあるが、全てが日常。よくある光景。
　でも、そんなよくあるものだからこそ、
　そしてそんな中に私達人間が住んでいるからこそ、
　全ての答えはそこにあるのではないか。
読んでいて、そんな風な趣旨、作者の考え方が感じ取れた。

あっさりとした内容。
だからこそ気づくことができる、世の中の単純さ。
だからこそ見つけられる、本当に大切なもの。
さくっと読めて温かい。
ハッピーエンドだけど、無理が無い。

森絵都氏の作品は先が読めることが多いが、
その落ちを心待ちにしている自分がいる。

彼女の作品のそんなところが大好きだ。


☆４の理由：個人的には、「カラフル」のような学生が主人公の作品のほうが、
　　　　　　作者には向いていると思ったから。内容だけ見れば余裕で☆５。
