終わり方はこれしかないだろうなっていう終わり方だけど、
ここで読者を裏切ってほしかったなぁ。
きっちり片をつけてほしかったなぁ。
ラストイニングという続編というか、特別編があるそうだけど、
「バッテリー」はバッテリーの中で終結させてほしかった。
ここまで引っ張って、そりゃないぜ、あさのさん。


ただ、すごい本だと思う。
どこがすごいかって、一番のすごさは、物語の世界に何の抵抗もなくすっと入ってしまうところだろう。
全６巻ぶっ続けで読んだわけでは、もちろんない。
通勤電車の中や、ちょっとした空き時間に読んだのだけれど、
いつでも、読み出して一分とたたないうちに、
もう物語の中に入ってしまう。
巧や豪の息遣いが聞こえてくる。
こんな本は珍しい。
まるで魔法のような本でした。


結果的に最終巻だけ星４つとしたけど、
素敵な時間をありがとう。

この本を読み、あの生意気で強情で、ボール投げる事しかできないけれど、それでも追いかけてしまう巧ともお別れかと悲しく思いました。
桜は散る為に咲く。物語は終わる為にある。
そして、巧と豪のバッテリーもいつか解散する時が来るでしょう。
それでも、巧も豪も、今を生きる事に決めた。
そのあまりの眩しさに目を細める感じがしました。

１巻から読み続け、強情な巧も成長したなと思いました。豪も青波も成長したと思います。挫折とか、妥協とかを知ったけれど、まだまだ諦めないで進む彼等が愛しかったです。もう一度１巻を読んで、彼等の成長を追いたいと思いました。

全6巻読みました。全体を通しては、キャラが結構たくさん居ていいかなと思います。
巻を重ねるごとに巧の性格は多少丸くなった印象。
風景描写なんかは、割と好みです。

いよいよ横手との試合に決着がつく！と思って、楽しみに読んだ巻です。
ですが、結果はいまいちはっきりしないまま。

一応続編（？/番外編？）で、ラスト・イニングと言う本が出てます。
そっちで結果が判るので、そちらもあわせて読んでみると良いと思います。
