尾崎豊が読んでいたらどんな感想を述べただろう。
そう思った２でした。
この話は進むに連れ,甘さをだんだん排除していっている。
本当に児童書なのか。
巧と豪以外の登場人物とバッテリー二人の落差が激しい分物語の深さがより深まって行く。
全くすごい本だ。

むかし、”タッチ”というマンガがありましたが、
あれが、野球マンガの名を借りた、ラブコメだったことを考えれば、
今シリーズは野球を題材にした、中学生日記になるんだろうなと思いました。

で、そうなると、視点は変わります。
つまり、巧は才能があるけれども、まだ只の中学生で、
それ以上でも、それ以下でもありません。
だから、ある程度の大人になると、
巧の行動は、受け入れ難い部分も多いです。
(ここらへん作者は、意図的に書いている気がします)

そんな中で、巧はある言葉を紡ぎます。
その言葉は、とてもピュアで感動的で、
そして、私たち大人の価値観まで強く揺さぶります。
しかし、それは思ったより気持ちのいいもので、
そういえば、中学生の頃は、変な事に一生懸命だったな。とか、
遠い記憶を、思い出さしてくれます。

読んだ後、もう1度、中学時代に帰りたいと思いました。
というより、中学時代に読みたかったです。

　小説や映画がII、IIIと続くとマンネリ化していってヤだな、と思ってはいたが、どうしても続き(というより「その後」)が読みたくなって、文庫版が出た早々に買ってしまいました。で、相変わらずのパターンが続くのだけれど、相変わらすなぜだかぐいぐい惹かれていってしまう。とても共感できない主人公なのに。やはり、何も終わってないのに小説は終わってしまって、でも感動を伴った読後感が残る。
　強烈な自信家の巧にはとうてい感情移入できない。もしかしたら、周りの豪や青波が作り出す過剰なまでのやさしさとの間の、傍観者とし居る作者の位置に感情があるのだろうか？

　Iに比べて巧が少しまるくなっているような気がする。お父さんやおじいちゃんの性格(過去?)も明らかになってきてだんだん普通の小説のようになるのだろうか？Iの方がストレートなもの凄さが感じられたが、だからといってパワーダウンしたようにも思えない。
　解説に完結した、と書いてましたが、文庫版でずっと待ってることにします(待てるだろうか?)。
