　主要な登場人物である二人の警官も，暴力団の若頭も，二人の女性も，みんないわゆるまっとうな人間ではない。かれらの愛は歪められていて，「異常」「病的」「変質的」あるいは「変態的」であり，さらには「犯罪的」でもある。
　そんな人物たちのどの一人に対しても，嫌悪感や受け入れがたさを感じることなく，むしろ共感や親近感，爽快感すらもって読めてしまうのは，作者が登場人物たちを理性的に愛しているからではないかと思う。暴力描写，異常性愛描写が，なまじっかの「純愛」などよりも，ずっと素直に心に入ってくるのだ。
　一種病的で歪んだ世界において変質的な愛を描きながら，愛そのものを追求する姿勢は，『ツイン・ピークス』『マルホランド・ドライブ』『ブルーベルベット』などデビット・リンチの世界にも通じるものがあるように思われた。
　病的な愛を通してこそ純粋な愛が追求できるのは，たぶんいまの世界の「常識」や「普通」といった部分が，空騒ぎと流行の薄皮一枚はがすと，どうしようもなく腐臭を放っていて，それは正常な人間が正直に対面しようとするなら精神に異常をきたしてあたりまえというまでになっているからなのかもしれない。
　心の壊れた人間，そもそも壊れるところの心すらもってないかのような人間たちの一種爽快な活劇から，困難な愛を志向する作者の知性と怒情が伝わってくる。

　鬼畜系ノワールと称される小川勝己の長編第二作目。いやあ、まともな人間がまったくでてこない。これだけやられると逆に気持ちいいくらいである。
　みんな脳内で変な物質が量産されているとしか思えないような思想、行動。警察組織が暴力団組織よりも悪の巣窟に見えてきます。暴力団と癒着している警官を全部さっぴくと警察人口は半分になるって本当だろうか？　リアルっぽくて恐い。
　カニバリズム、近親相姦は当たり前みたいな小説なんで、そういうのに嫌悪を抱く方はやめたほうがいいかも。

~「葬列」に続きスピーディーな展開、無表情で死体を切り刻めるような、そんな傑作をまたしても小川勝己を出してしまった。痛みが感じられない、それでいいのか？と思えるほど刺々しい描写が強烈。

登場人物がだんだんと口調に変化が見られ、それを違和感ととるか読み手側の登場人物の本音の会話ととるかそこは微妙だが。登場人物の蒲生、和泉はページをめ~~くるごとに姿があらわれてくる。当初はなんて悪辣なヤツだと思える和泉とカレー好き（作者もきっとカレーが好きだと思う）な単身者であろう蒲生。それがどんどん深いしわを顔にも心にも刻んでいることに気づく、果てはあまりにも重いトラウマを各人物が背負っていることに読者もまた、自分にもそんなトラウマがあるのではないかとおぼえさせる。

ニヤリと~~読むか、嫌悪感でいっぱいになるか。正直前者であった。

役者の某氏を想像させるやくざのキャラクターは強烈！上半身裸で走る３人組は作者のユーモアをかいま見ることができる。映画化ならR指定確実の描写を身体を震わせて読むべし！~
