妙な表紙にだまされてはいけない。これは本当に「怖い」小説だ。
夢と現実の区別がつかなくなる、という北野勇作の得意技だが、文字通り悪夢のように怖い。
途切れた記憶のように、断片的な物語が、断片的な手法で並べられ、怖くないはずのものまで、怖く感じるのは作者の力量だろう。
所々、妙に軽い内容に逃げようとするのが気になるが、それも魅力といえば魅力。ただ、彼のＳＦ作品を読むと、さらに良い作品にできるはずなのに、というもどかしさは残る。

人面町四丁目を読んだだけあって期待してたのに、裏切られた感じ。夢なのか現実なのか妄想なのか全体的にはっきりしない。そこがミソかも知れないけど、自分的にはわけがわからなかった 好きな人は好きな作品かも。

始めから終わりまで夢だったのか現実だったのかよく分からない作品です。どこから夢にはっていて、どこから夢じゃないのか区別が出来ません。
ただ、おもしろいし。楽しいとか可笑しいとかじゃなくて、こういう話が好きですね。
好き嫌いで分かれそうですけど、好きな人は絶対はまります。
