3年B組金八先生のｼﾘｰｽﾞ７で始めて出会った相田みつを先生の言葉。短いのにものすごく心に響くメッセージの数々。仏教があり、日本語があり、そして相田先生の数々の苦労があってはじめて出来あがったものではないでしょうか。

時にどんな多くの言葉やテクニックをしても伝わらないものがあります。特に近代化、西洋化といったことで多くの情報がありとあらゆる所にあふれている世界で、本当に私達人間にとって大切なものとは何なのかを、あらためて教えていただいているような気がします。読んでいると、ふと日本人でよかったと思える本です。

壁にぶつかった時、どうして良いか分らない時に開くと何気に答えが見つかります。

今私に元気をくれる一番大切な人へ、私から何も伝えられないももどかしいおもいからせめてすばらしい言葉をとおもい1冊、7年間日本で日本語を勉強し、そして働いていたアメリカ人の友人が帰国することになり、こんな日本語もあるよという思いで1冊プレゼント。仕事をやめて悩んでいた友人にも薦めてしまいました。一人でも多くの方に読んでいただきたい良書です。

　待望の相田みつをの最新文庫版。疲れたときの癒しの本として最適。いままでの文庫版の中で一番読みやすい。また、この本は、真実に真っ正面からぶっかつた相田みつをの書であり、全然難しいことが 書いてなくて気楽に読め、読者に勇気と自信を与えてくれる。元気が欲しいとき、是非読みたい一冊。

ダイレクトだ。ストレートだ。等身大の「自分」をそのまま、書にぶつけている。情報過多のため、何が「自分らしさ」かを見失っている我々に原点を思い出させてくれる。
