　目まぐるしく変わる場面，そして立場の逆転する登場人物。何が真実で，誰が黒幕か，考える暇もなくストーリーは加速する。レイチェルの父は善なのか悪なのか，ＮＡＳＡ長官は，大統領は，と最後まで楽しませてくれる。
　隕石の正体があまりにあっけなく明らかになったこと，レイチェルを救う民間の科学者たちに魅力を感じなかったこと，みんな都合よくまとまってしまったことなど，細かく言えば不満もあるが，一気に読めて面白いことは間違いない。
　それにしてもレイチェルの父の最後は・・・笑えない。

　この人の小説を評するときまず最初にいわねばならない事は「楽しめる」ということ。

　しかしそれはハリウッド、メジャースタジオ配給映画的「楽しめる」であると思う。
むろんそれは悪い事ではない。ただ・・時にあまりに鼻につく。最初から映画化権を売る事を
前提に書いているのではないかと、つい穿った見方をしてしまう。

　特にこの作品は、一つのネタを二時間少し（映画の時間）もたせるために、
わざと読みづらい場転を多用しているように感じる。
　解説では二人のヒロインの・・・と書いているが、僕には一人はヒロインに見えてはいなかった。
感情移入に足る人物に見えなかったからだ。著者は「美人」と作中に書いてあるんだから
皆が愛してくれるとタカをくくっていた部分が有るのではないだろうか？
人気のある女優の誰かをキャスティング（頭の中で）して書いたのでは？

　これだけの批判をしても、その仕掛けには楽しめる部分が沢山有るし、
それがダン・ブラウンの著作の全てに共通する特徴である。
　地球外生命体の存在可能性についてこういう切り口があったとは！
結構驚かされ、知的好奇心を刺激されました。
本書は娯楽として十分に楽しめます！・・・不満も残るかもしれませんが。

ダン・ブラウンのデセプション・ポイントが、安くなって発売されていたので、すぐに購入しました。
内容な、他の作品と違い、宗教的部分が無くなっています。
おもに、現実問題とか、近代兵器も多数登場（実在してます）

っで、今回も殺人が起きたり、謎があったりと、楽しませてくれます。
とにかく、ダン・ブラウンの作品は、犯人が毎回意外な人なので、今回私は、
ほぼ、登場する人を疑いの目で読んでいました。

しかし・・・今回もまんまとはめられました！
絶対犯人わかんねーよ・・・
なんで、あの人が犯人なんだーー！みたいな感じになります。
ダン・ブラウンの、だまし文章にまんまと、引っかかってしまいましたｗ
考えれば、ダ・ヴィンチ・コードも天使と悪魔もだまし文章でしたね・・・・
犯人は、最後の最後にわかるので、期待して読むといいです。

本当に面白かったです。
宗教は難しいですが、現実的な内容が多かったので、わかりやすかったです。
あと、豆知識がすごい役に立ちましたｗ読んで良かった。
