アメリカのみならず、日本でも大ヒットを記録した超大作アクション映画のノベライゼーション。
映画では、スパイダーマンがニューヨークの摩天楼を高速で駆け抜けるＣＧシーンに目を奪われるあまり、
肝心のストーリーにのめり込めない部分があるかもしれませんが、
この小説では、各登場人物の心理をくわしく掘り下げているので、
感情移入しながらドラマを楽しむことができます。
映画を見て、もっとくわしくスパイダーマンのことが知りたいと思った方には、
是非おすすめします。

この本は映画スパイダーマンの完成前にかかれた本ですが
映画以上に詳しくこんなわけがあったんだみたいに思えますし
この本を読んでから映画を見に行ってもいいですし
その逆もいいかもしれません。
どっちにしろ読み終わったあとの後味がたまらなくすっきりしている作品だと思います。

映画も観たが、この本も普通に面白かった。
孤児ピーター・パーカーはおじ・おばに育てられる。この設定はスター・
ウォーズ的だ。
やがて成長し高校生になった彼は、まじめで成績が良い、つまり高校社会
では最下層に位置する人間。いじめられてもいる。そして、好きな女の子
は隣人のMJ。彼女はフットボール選手と付き合っている。いわば高校の
トップにいる子だ。
ある日学校の見学で遺伝子操作をされたクモに噛まれたピーターは、
スパイダーマンとなり各種の超能力を得る・・・。
悪役は怪物キャラみたいな「グリーン・ゴブリン」などベタな部分もある
けれど、非常にリアルなヒーロー像が面白い。高校では冴えない生徒で、
大学に進学すればスパイダーマンとの両立に苦しみ、バイトを探し、
MJは周囲の男にとられてばかり。それが、いったん事件が起こればスーパーマン
ばりの活躍をみせる。そのギャップがいい。けれど、大活躍しているのに
タブロイドは彼を批判。そして、認められない彼は悩む。
MJは父親にけなされて育ち、ピーターの友人ハリーも父に認められずに
育つなど家庭の問題が色濃いのも特徴。
冒頭には映画の写真が数ページついている。

スパイダーマンの過去の話を現代風にアレンジしたもの。スパイダーマンの歴代の宿敵たちが登場します。映画やゲームでアメコミに興味を持った人にもお勧めです。
