鷺沢萌のなかで一番好きな本です。 20個の短編集なのですが、中でも「東京のフラニー」は お勧めです！ 「ああっそんなことあったなー」とか「そうそう！」と共感できる部分や、「懐かしい」と思える部分がたくさんありました。 又、短編集ごとに様々な情景が描かれていますので、読み応えがあります。

　読んでいるうちに、ああ、そうなんだよなあ・・・・と思う瞬間が何度もありました。様々な状況におかれている人たちの何気ない生活の一幕。地味、というか所謂ふつうの人たちの見せる、吹っ切れた瞬間には微かでも皆共感できるところがありました。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　幾つもの話で中にどれか一つはきっと胸を掴むものがあると思います。

「短編小説」と言うよりは「掌編小説」と言ったほうがいいほどの、短い作品集です。
若いころの一瞬の出来事が、その後の人生を支えたり、変えたりしていく。大きな人生一部分を、ズームレンズで切り取ったようなそんな作品ばかりです。
鷺沢萌は初読でしたが、人生と言うものに真正面からしっかり向かい合った作家だったんだなぁとおもいました。だからこそ、あんな形での「死」を選んでしまったのでしょうか？残念です。
