グミ編とは違い今回はバンド話が中心となっている。
個人的には彼らがライブに繰り出すシーンが一番気に入ってる。
初めて感じるライブの熱さに興奮して
今すぐにでも何かをしようと語る彼らの姿が
まさに青春といえる気がする。

相変わらずバカバカしい姿は凄さを増し
読んでいて声を出して笑ってしまうのは
前回と同様でした。

その笑いが私はかなり気に入ってます。

これほど感情移入できる小説は多分、私の中でもう現れないでしょう。だって感情移入というか今、自分がクラスの中でいる位置、そして好きな女子との関係がグミ・チョコなんだもん！踏み切りでの賢三と美甘子の会話は「あっ、俺も多分こうなっちゃうなぁ・・・」としみじみ共感して、少し泣きそうになりました。

悲しいかな、前作のグミ編の甘酸っぱさは鳴りを潜めて音楽一辺倒へと様変わりしてしまった。
が！
筆者の音楽への情熱が主人公の少年を通して描かれて熱気を帯びて最後まで止まらなかった様に感動を覚えた。
音という音が活字に置き換えられて臨場感があって、前作同様に勢いに飲み込まれる。
