　財閥の跡取り息子と結婚した、完璧な美女・ホジョン。彼女の人生計画がほころび始めたのは、不妊を知った時からだった。秘密裏に親友・ジウォンの卵子提供を受け、夫の精子を使い妊娠するホジョンだったが、夫と友人の仲に疑心暗鬼の日々を過ごす。ある日悲劇は、体外受精で生まれた娘・ヨンジュに襲いかかって…。

　バリバリのホラー。韓国で大ヒットした映画をもとにしたメディアＭＩＸ小説だが、著者の綿密な現地取材と筆力により、独立したエンターテインメント作品になっているらしい。らしい、というのは私がまだ映画を未見だからだ。映画も見てみたい気にさせるだけのパワーを持った本である。あまりにもホラーらしい終わり方は予想圏内でちょっと残念だが、ヒロイン・ジウォンの揺れる心の描写がいい。

映画を見てから文庫を読みましたが、映画では作られていない部分が多くあります。特に、文庫本の最後は映画だけ見ると本当にわかりません。

子供の演技が恐い、その番号を持った人は必ず死ぬということが
恐いと、恐い恐いと思ってましたが、恐いだけではありませんでした。
韓国の原作読み、映画を観て、作者が書き下ろしたそうなので
映画と多少違うところもありましたが、結構せつない話でした。
３人の女性の気持ちはそれぞれにせつないな~と思いましたが、

男性の方は・・・。はぁー、勝手やな~。
けど、せつないけど、やってることはやっぱり恐かったです。
