群ようこの処女作となったエッセイ集ですが、さすがに時代背景は古い。おそらく1980年前後の作品だと思われまして、河合奈保子とか柏原芳恵とか出てくる有名人も古い古い。私はほとんど同年代なので違和感なく読めました。群ようこ独特の筆風もこのころからすでに萌芽していたのですね。ある意味ではコレクターズアイテムかもしれませんが、群ようこファンなら読んで損はない一冊です。

~群ようこさんのデビュー作の文庫本です。
群ようこさんは大好きな作家さんのひとりなので、いくつも作品を読んでいたのですが、この作品を読んでまず感じたのは「若いな」ってことでしょうか。ご本人も「あとがき」で書いていらっしゃいましたが、「まだまだ未熟」という印象が残るかもしれません。でも、思ったことをストレートに表現する「赤裸々な表現」~~や「家族や日常の暴露」など今の群ようこさんの原点を見た気がしました。
群ようこさんが好きな方は一読してみる価値はあると思います。~

このデビュー作、何冊も群さんの本を読んだ後に手にしましたが、
決して初めてっぽく感じませんでした。最初から才能のある人だった
んだなぁと実感しました。

私には共感できる部分が多く、古くても問題なく読めました。
