4.0 out of 5 stars 鎌田流恋愛小説の醍醐味, 2001/12/14
鎌田敏夫氏については真偽は定かではないのだが、
何かで年齢的にはそろそろ初老ときいたことがある。
が、なぜか二十歳から三十路そこそこの女性のしゃべりぶりや
心理のつかみ方や行動に実に熟知されている。
もちろん恋愛ストーリーが主流の話だが、
あり得えそうであり得ない話・身近そうで身近でない話に魅かれた。

鎌田作品は本当に皆、『女は気が強く、男はひたすら優しく』である。
色んな男女関係があるがそれは一筋縄でなくて様々だからおもしろい、
そんな当然のことを思い出させてくれる１冊だった。
「本を読む」ということは…小説だと特に…それが虚構の
空想世界の嘘話だとわかっていて読むにも関わらず引きこまれてしまい、

旅行をする時に感じるものとはまた別の種類の
“実生活にほど近い『非日常感』”を味わえるから楽しい。
そうだ、そんなことを感じながら
しんみりとしながらも楽しんで読めた恋愛小説だった。

男女のパートナーとしてのあり方を描き出す短編集。
必ずしも一緒に住んでいるわけでも、結婚を決めているわけでもない男女。
頼るだけでもダメだし、ほうっておくわけにも行かない。
この短編集に出てくるカップルの多くは、遠回りする。
そして、パートナーのよさを再認識するのだ。
時が過ぎてもさほど色あせないのは作者の筆力だろう。
男女の機微を描かせたら天下一品の作者だから。
恋愛小説の玉手箱を味わって欲しい。
