すばらしい作品です。
田辺さんの本をはじめて読みました。
人間の微妙な感情を、ここまで的確に文字にしてしまう
ことができるなんて、知りませんでした。
「うすうす知っていた」は、26歳の妹が
姉の28歳の主人公より、先に結婚してしまうことになり、
嬉しさ、寂しさ、焦り、悲しみ、憧れというものが混ざった

なんともいえない気持ちとともに、あわれみの視線を
投げつける周囲の心無い人たちへの嫌悪が、
主人公の心の中でざわめく、繊細な感情を描いている。
ほかの短編も、すべてピュアで、ていねいに
心の動きが書かれています。
本当にすばらしい作品で、とっても感動し、共感しました。
愛すべき一冊です。

ちなみに、田辺聖子さんは、38歳で結婚されたそうです。

　脚の動かない女のコと普通の大学生の恋愛といえば、こそばくなるような、少女マンガのようなイメージがあったが、大阪弁で描かれた田辺聖子さんの世界からは、人間くさい体温が感じられた。

　世間から身を隠すようにして生きてきたジョゼは、本だけが外の世界への入口だった。その狭い入口をごく自然に広げてくれた恒夫へジョゼが抱いた恋心は、純粋すぎてせつなかった。いつも辛らつでいじっぱりなジョゼが、恒夫と結ばれた時に発した言葉があまりにも素直でいしらしくてたまらない。

「アタイ、好きや。あんたも、あんたのすることも好きや」というセリフは、
死ぬまでに一度は言ってみたいせりふだと思った。

原作と映画両方見ました
ラストが、多少違うにしろ
どちらもいい出来に仕上がっている
ホントごく身近にあるそんな出来事
いそうな二人、、、
でも、あそこまで純粋に惹かれ合うってない様な
映画のラストで、妻夫木演じる恒夫の涙に
切なくもあり、でもすごくわかる気がする
