改版され、表紙がとても可愛らしくなりました。
内容も昭和４７年に刊行された本だとは思えない程、楽しめる本です。
宇宙船がやって来た、博士が発明をした、という内容の話が多いですが、あまり気にしなければ楽しめると思います。
それに短編集なので、時間の空いているときに読めるのでオススメです。
そのかわり、面白い話とオチが分かってしまうような話の両方があるので４つです。

短篇集なので、作品に波がありますが。
ヒネリのきいた話が何話もあります。
特に『ネコ』とゆう話は猫好きな方は思わず笑ってしまいます。

　私が始めて出会った星新一先生の作品が本作でした。

　短くて読みやすい文章でありながら、様々な世界を見せてくれる星新一先生は

　本当に素晴らしいと思います。

　本作でのお気に入り

　新発明のマクラ　　（単純でありながら説得力のあるラストがすごい！！！）

　きまぐれロボット　（英語の教科書でこの短編に出会わなければ、星先生のことを

　　　　　　　　　　　知ることはなかったでしょう）

　
　博士とロボット　（皮肉の効いたラストが印象的です）
