　内容については、とにかく面白いの一言に尽きる。
　『吾輩は猫である』は、色々な出版社から様々な版が出ている。
　この角川文庫版は、現代仮名遣いに治してあるが、字はかなり小さめ。注は付いているが、必要最低限という感じで、物足りなさが残る。
巻末には山本健吉の「解説」と、夏目自身による自序、回顧談などが収められている。あとは年譜。
　値段から言えば、一番、安いのではないか。

という作品は滅多にないだろう。その滅多にない作品がこれである。最初は誰もが猫の視点から物語を追っていく。よって、猫の話だと思いこむ。ところが違うのだ。これは人間の話なのだ。二度目、それが分かるはず。市川昆の映画もまたおもしろい。
