　おもしろいです。バレエの世界は、やっぱり格別。ストイックなスポ根ものでありつつ、ミーハーでゴージャスな味つけたっぷり、読んでいて最高に楽しいです。

　かつ、この本の魅力は、主人公が小さな男の子であること。映画『リトルダンサー』に似た題材です。主人公の、「僕はバレエが好き！」という、きらきらした一途な思いも、そっくり。ですが、さまざまな障害が、つぎつぎに立ちはだかるところは、よりドラマチックで、古めの少女マンガ（『ガラスの仮面』とか）を思わせるおもしろさです。

　でも、まだそれだけではないのです。この本は、赤木かん子さんの『心の傷を読み解く800冊の本』というブックガイドでも紹介されています。家に自分の居場所のない主人公の気持ちが、とてもこまやかに書かれているのです。主人公は、自分の家で注目されず、理解されず、何度も、深く、傷つけられます。けれどこの本は、主人公の痛みを切実に描きながらも、まわりの人々のあたたかさと、主人公のバレエへの愛、バレエの世界の魅力、物語のおもしろさによって、苦すぎず楽しく読めて、ほっこりあたためてくれる、極上の本になっています。
　おすすめします。

長く険しい道は誰もが歩んでゆく道です。ここに描かれる姉弟の道もそれはそれは長く険しい。涙あふれることも、笑みこぼれることも絶え間ない、感動の途切れることがない物語です。これはもしかしたら子供のためだけの本ではなく、いつの間にか、かつての夢を諦めてしまった大人のための本なのかも知れません。ぜひお子様とともにお読みになること、また何か夢を諦めかけたときに手にとって見ることをお勧めいたします。

才能は、それを楽しむ喜びと努力から成り立つものかもしれない。主人公のバレエを楽しむ喜びと努力に、私は圧倒された。彼はバレエをする否定的な環境にいながらも、バレエを止めなかった。バレエを楽しんでいた。心と身体で、バレエを楽しみ、喜んでいた。そして、その楽しみと喜びを味わうために、彼は努力をした。…いや、彼からすると、努力をすると云う思いはないかもしれない。ただ、バレエがしたいから、バレエをする。「バレエがしたい！」その彼の想いが、本を読んでいるこちらにも伝わってきた。気持ちが良かった。彼を応援せずにはいられなかった。そして、読者の私だけでなく、周囲も彼の才能に見入られ始めた。当然だ。彼ほどの才能を目の前に突き付けられ、それを否定する事は不可能だ。それ!程の才能が、彼にはあった。彼は、否定的な環境を肯定的な環境にした。自らの才能で。楽しむ喜びと、努力で。彼の才能は、天才だった。
