あまり知られていない本かもしれないけれど、
子供にとっては本当にたくさんの楽しみがあふれている本だと思います。
美しい金色の森を舞台に、たくさんの動物とかくれんぼ。
子供と一緒に隠れている動物を探しましょう。
絵が本当にきれいで、動物たちの隠し方も素敵です。
また、「もりのかくれんぼう」がいったいどのページから隠れていたのか
探すのも楽しいです。
我が家では夜寝る前に、何度も読まされた本です。

あと数ヶ月で４歳になる子どもに読み聞かせていますが、せがまれて１日に２回は読んでいます。不思議な森へ女の子が踏みこんでいくところ、その森での動物たちと「かくれんぼう」とのかくれんぼのようすがとても気に入っているようです。

大人でも１度読んだだけでは気づかないような、巧みな隠し絵があちこちに。秋のにおいがいっぱいの本です。話の最後の余韻も、とても味わいがあります。

お話は森で迷子になったけいこが、かくれんぼの大好きな森のかくれんぼうと動物たちと一緒に森でかくれんぼするお話です。
赤ちゃん用の仕掛け絵本よりは高度な仕掛け絵本。だから幼稚園ぐらいの子には、かくれんぼうしている動物やかくれんぼうをみつけるのに一生懸命、隅々まで楽しめます。
林明子さんのやさしい絵と森の雰囲気、秋にぴったしの絵本です。
