自分の娘はトイレ・トレーニングには未だ早い年齢なのですが、いづれ読んであげたいと思い購入した本です。主人公の男の子がパンツを自分ではけず「えい、パンツなんか　はかないや」と言って外に散歩に行ってしまいます！しっぽの無いつるつるのお尻！と動物達に笑われるのですが、最後には自分でパンツもはけるようになって、そして　もう１つ、あるものがはける様になります。さっきまで笑っていた動物達も今度は「いいなぁ、いいなぁ！」と羨ましがります。自分が今まで出来なかった事が出来るようになる喜びが上手に書かれていると思います。

２歳になる息子に毎晩読んであげています。主人公のたっくんを息子の名前に置き換えると、ページをめくるごとに興味津々。パンツがはけずにお尻を出したまま外に飛び出してしまい、動物たちにお尻をじろじろ見られる場面なんかげらげら笑って楽しんでます。最後に一人でパンツがはけると大喜びで「ひとりではけたよ！！」と言い、まだオムツが取れない息子にも良い刺激になっているようでお気に入りの一冊です。

長男は2歳の時、パジャマ（特にパンツ）を履きたがらなかった。

初めての育児ということもあり、夫婦で結構悩んだ時、この絵本に出会った。

本の題名から「パンツを履くことを勧める内容に違いない」と勝手に解釈し即購入したが、予感は的中。

絵本を何度も読み聞かせるうちに、パンツを履くことを嫌がることがなくなったほか、自分で履くようにもなり非常に助かった（救われた）記憶がある。

現在、2歳の次男が同じ現象（パンツ＜オムツ＞嫌い）がみられる。また、この絵本に助けを求めようと思っている。
