この本を初めてひとりで立ち読みした時、不覚にも書店で「…ぐふふふ」と不気味にひとり笑いしてしまいました。＆「こんなおもしろい絵本は、うちの子にも読ませてやりたい！子供といっしょに笑いたい！」と思って、迷わず衝動買いして家路についたものです。当時娘は2歳。全編にただよう「おとぼけっぷり」が、我々親子のツボに妙にすっぽりと填ってしまい、ふたりしてゲラゲラ大笑いしながら、何度も何度も読み返しました。今やボロボロになっってしまったこの絵本は、赤ちゃん向けのしつけ絵本であるにもかかわらず、4歳になっても未だに娘の愛読書です。みなさんも、是非、ゆうちゃんの「これはみなさん、いらっしゃーい」の所を、「桂三枝」調で読んでみてください。この絵本の「吉本チックなおもしろさ」が、きっと倍増しますから。

我が家の１０ヶ月の娘は、この本をよんであげた次の日に、「こんにちわ」っというとおじぎをするようになりました。この本では、ページをめくって実際にお辞儀をしてるようにお話し出来るので、娘もとてもよろこんでいます。キャラクターの絵もとても大きいので、実際にお辞儀をしているように見えるのでしょう。絵本のように、ふかぶかと床につくぐらいお辞儀をするようになってしまいましたが...：）。何でも覚えたいこの時期の赤ちゃんにとってもいい本だと思います。

この本は娘が１歳のときにプレゼントされました。数ある本の中でも、この絵本は絵がとてもダイナミックに描かれていて、とにかくわかりやすい！ちょうど１歳というのは、バイバイやこんにちはが出来はじめる月齢ということもあり、娘にとってはうってつけの絵本でした。
