「僕はおもしろくない。」この言葉は一昔前のお笑い界ではあり得ない言葉だと思う。それだけお笑いの世界は変化をしたのだと感じた。
山里亮太という人物にはそれだけカリスマ性というものがない。むしろ小心者であり軟弱者だ。しかし、彼はそれを容認し、ネガティブ
と向き合い、毎日を生き抜いている。何がしたい？ではなく、何をすべきか？と自分に問い、自己実現に向かって歩んでいる。メンタルに
問題を抱えつつ、努力家な一面も持つ彼は、庶民性にあふれており、とても魅力的に感じられた。ファンではないが、エールを送りたい。
それだけのものをもらった感じがしてしまいました。

山ちゃんという人間が、いかに魅力的であるかを思い知らされました。

彼は、自分には「才能がない」と知ったうえで、それでもお笑いをやっていくにはどうすればいいかを必死に考え、模索し、多くの失敗や挫折、ときに栄光を掴みながら、一歩ずつ前に進んでいきます。

彼の言葉が私の心に響いたのは、きっと彼が「普通の人」だから。カリスマ性のあるいわゆる「天才」より、言葉に思いが込められている気がしました。
自分の欠点を認め、それを補うための努力を決して怠らない。出来そうで出来ないことを、山ちゃんはずっとしてきた。だから「今」そして「未来」へ繋がる…。

山ちゃんが好きな人はもちろん、むしろ、山ちゃんを嫌いな人にこそ、読んでほしい一冊です。


でも、こんな風に考えられる山ちゃんには、やっぱり才能があるんだろうなと思いました。
能ある鷹は、自分の爪に気付いていないだけなのかも。

2度のコンビ解散。しずちゃんとの出会い。マネージャー片山氏との出会い。
Ｍ−１準優勝。挫折。そして復活。

けしてお笑いの天才ではない山ちゃんが、努力を重ねていく姿に心打たれます。
特に３章の「出発」は、仲間に支えられ自信を取り戻していく様に、
おもわずほろっとさせられ、夢に向かって頑張る活力をもらえます。
また、「自分の主張を、相手に反感をもたれずにどう伝えるか」に対する苦悩は、
多くの人が共感できるものではないでしょうか。

年末に「Ｑさま」で解散どっきりに引っかかり泣いていた山ちゃんですが、
あの涙の背景には、こんな歴史があったのだなぁ。
