甘い言葉は一切ありません。厳しい言葉の数々。
読後わき起こったのは安い感動ではなく個として現実を生きていかなければならぬ覚悟でした。

この本で指摘されていることに反感を覚える人も多いのかもしれません。
友達や親や家族を大切にしようみたいなよくある言葉などどこにもありません。

ここにあるのは目を逸らして暮らしたとしても逃げることができない事実を指摘し読む者に個として考えさせる言葉の数々。
何歳になってもこの本に書いてあることは自分を戒める言葉として苦しさから解放する言葉として大切にしたいと思いました。

最近よく見る人口甘味料みたいな耳障りの良い慰めや癒しの言葉、空疎で陳腐な前向きの言葉に辟易しつつも、
悩みがあって誰かの言葉が聞きたい人には年齢関係なく読んで欲しい一冊です。

若い人向けに書かれた本のようですが、すべての年代の人が読んでも遜色ない
本だと思います。
「友人」「不安」「健康」「学校」「時間」「戦争」「死」等々・・・テーマ別に
なっているのである箇所がダメでもどこかひっかかる所が各々あるのではないかと
思われます。
　ただ、自由業の丸山氏ですので、組織に生きる＜＜自営業・・・な考え。
故サラリーマンの方などカチンと来るのかなぁ・・・なんて心配にならなくもないです。
そういう部分差し引いても、現実に根を張って生きたい人、自分を律して生活したい
すべての人に読んで欲しい名著です。
