やはり、多くの成功者の幼少時との共通点を見つけた。

例えば、「記録を付ける」

羽生は小学校5年生のときから棋譜(将棋の対戦記録)を付け始めた。羽生が通っていた将棋道場でも棋譜をつけている人は殆ど居なかったという。

これを読んで思い出したのは、昨年のストライキ騒ぎで有名になった(勿論、以前から日本一のキャッチャーとして有名だが）プロ野球選手会長の古田。

彼がNHK「ようこそ先輩」という番組で、母校の小学生に言った言葉。「野球が上手くなりたいなら、記録を付けよ!」走り込めというんでも無ければ、素振り100回でもない。記憶は当てにならないから記録を付けよ、と。

これなんかとちょっと意味は違いますが、イチローの小学校時代の作文も凄いですねー。明確な目標→マイルストーン設定→必要な行動→達成時のイメージ。これを小学生でやられたら･･･カナイマセン。

成功したいなら、今からでも遅くない!　やった方がいいですね。

羽生義治という人物に関する書物は以外に少ないと思います。彼自身が著者で、挑戦する勇気という興味をそそられるタイトルの本が出版されたので、読んでみました。本書は朝日ジュニア・サマースクールでの公演内容をまとめたものであり、子供向けに書かれてあります。彼の内面について記述されている部分が少なく、私が既に知っている事が殆どだったのが、残念です。彼が将棋に取り組む姿勢を子供たちは知ることができたとは思いますが。
