文学に興味の無い人　は読まないほうがいい。
著者の知識が時代遅れで　偏りすぎている。

この本の作者は「本＝文学」

問題：　江戸川乱歩が昔、働いていたお店の名前は何でしょう。
問題：　○○○○（江戸時代の人）の漢字の読みを書きなさい。
的な　問題ばかりである。

社会科の問題集みたいである。
読んでいて、答えを見ても　だから何だ？としか言えない。

「古本屋」の問題も載っているが　クソつまらなすぎる。
神田の地図を載せて　白抜きになってる店名を書け　
とか
○○書店の店主は　男か女か？
ってな感じの　知ってもどうにもならない問題ばかりが110問。

４コマ漫画はたった１ページだけで
インタビューも「もし日本が戦争に勝っていたら‥」とか古本関係ない。

「古本」検定ではなく「古い日本文学の本の内容」検定である。

　古本の初心者向けに･･･とあるが、初級の問題から相当マニアックで、とてもじゃないが初心者向けとは言えない。中級・上級ともなれば、プロでも知らないんじゃないの？と思われるような問題が並ぶ。本当に古本好きのための本なのかなぁ、というのが正直な印象で、編者が「こんなことまで知っているんだぞ！」と誇示しているように見えなくもない。もちろん、よくご存知なのでしょうが。
　まぁ珍しい話も沢山載っているから、単純に面白がって読むんであれば、それはそれで楽しい本。
　できれば、古本屋さんの舞台裏や有名な本のエピソードなどを紹介した、フツウの本好きでも楽しめるような問題集を、どなたか出してくれるといいんだけど･･･

発売前からその書名に興味を惹かれていたが、いざ手にしてみて「なんか違うんだよなあ」と思ってしまった。私はこれまで古本関連の書物をいろいろと読んできたが、どうも岡崎氏の書くものと波長が合わないのだ。『新・文学入門』（工作舎）や『ニッポン文庫大全』（ダイヤモンド社）は持っているが、これらは氏の単著ではない。本書に関して言えば、おそらく古本全般に関わる問題が含まれているため、素人の私にとっては端から分からない問題が多く、途中で興味をそがれてしまう。「古本」という名がついているのだからしかたないのだが、私としては文学関連の問題に特化してほしかったという思いが強い。そういう意味では、本書を楽しむ資格が私にはないのだろうと思う。

ところで、純粋に文学クイズを楽しみたいということなら、新潮社から出ている雑誌『yom yom』に連載されている南陀楼綾繁氏の「小説検定」が断然おもしろい。こちらの方が書籍化されたらまちがいなく買います。
