刊行前から，朝日新聞紙上でも宣伝されていたので，期待を持って読み始めたのですが，正直言ってつまらないです．○月○日の○時に何をしたか，ということが延々を記入されているだけで，とても退屈です．卜部氏は昭和天皇の身近にいた訳ですから，もっと皇室内での出来事もいろいろあったと思いますが，そういった言葉を期待して読むと，がっかりすると思います．特に，卜部氏の勤務が休みの日の日記なんて，どうでもいいような気がします．
日記を通して，昭和天皇のお姿は殆ど見えてきません．
他の巻はまだ読んでいませんが，３巻に関しては星１つで十分だと思います．
