ストールやショールを、かぎ針で編みたいと思い、
書店で、最近発売された同類の本数冊と比較してみた。

同じ編地（模様編み、楕円形など）でアレンジ違いの2〜3種を
載せている。小花コサージュや縁レース、スパンコールの付け方も
写真で丁寧に解説。勿論編み方も丁寧に解説されている。
鎖編み・細編み・長編みが何となく出来る初心者ならば、
まず編むのに問題ないレベルと思う。
可愛い作品からカジュアルなものまで多様あるが、
古臭いもの、野暮ったいものは無いかと。

三角ショールは、底辺から編み始めるレシピが圧倒的に多い。
頂点側から編むものは、ただの鎖編みだけの超簡単なものが
よく紹介されるが、女性らしい模様編みなどは無い。
けれど私は頂点側から編み始めていくレシピを探していた。
好みの問題もあるが、大きめにしたい時など、アレンジの
自由が割に簡単に出来ると思うので。この作品は数少ない
頂点側から編むもので、模様も簡単ながら洗練されていると思う。

タイトルの通り３日で完成とはほど遠いですが、育児の合間合間に、表紙の赤いストールをヘンプ糸で編んでいます。３日どころか３ヶ月にかかろうかというところですが、さほど難しくはなく、楽しんで編めています。かぎ針一本で編み進められるので場所をえらばず気楽に、かつかわいらしいデザインでお薦めの一冊です。他にもかぎ針編みの本をたくさんもっていますが、まずはこの一冊にかかりきりです。

しかし、３日で完成は上級者じゃなければ（特に表紙のストールは）難しいとは思うので星４つ。

作品がどれも素敵なので編むのに悩みましたが、
まずは、表紙の真っ赤なストールを編んでいます。
買ってよかった本の１冊となりました。
来年も再来年もずっと使えそうです！

とにかく表紙の赤のストールが可愛い、今早速白で編んでいます、出来上がりが楽しみです。
今年はストールが流行る様なので手作りで作れるのかいい感じです。
