英検２級は高校卒業レベルです。
まずは基礎をしっかりと固めなくてはなりません。
本書は英検２級を受けていく上で、これから基礎力をアップさせていきたい方におすすめです。
本書や、同じく旺文社の全問題集をやり、基礎力をつけ、英検２級の傾向を知り、その他の少し難しめの予想問題集をやるのが一番の英検２級合格への近道ではないかと思います。

今までの英検もずっとこのシリーズを使ってます。
前も書いたのですがこのシリーズはレビューが少なくて不安だったんですが試験本番でも多く見かけるし、定番かつ最良だと思います。
この前準2級に合格してその流れで2級も受けようと買いました。
準2のときと比べて驚いたのが、厚さは同じですが最初の６０ページぐらいが全部単語になってました。
けっこう準2と2級の差は大きいと聞いていて、実際に私も2級に落ちてしまいました。
なるほど単語の数が　3級→準2　より格段に多くなりました。
文法的な知識はこの本で十分に獲得し、実際の試験でもリスニングなどはかなり出来ましたが、文章問題が英文は読めるんですが単語の意味がわからない。
このことには練習問題をやっている時からすでに実感がありました。練習のときは間違えても後で回答を見て、わからなかった単語はマークするよう努力はしてたんです。
でもそれではきつかったです。はじめの段階で2級には単語がどれくらい必要なのかということを知っておくべきでした。とりあえず今までのように単語なんか教本を読んでるうちに覚えてけばいいとやってたので。

実際2級より前は単語より文法的な知識をマスターするようにしていたので、ですが準2と2級は「単語」です。
そこで「DUOselect」を買いました。これは単語集ですが例文が面白いし、なにより試験のためじゃなく純粋に英語を勉強してる気になれるコンパクトな本でした。
結果的に合格点に少したらず落ちてしまったのですが、とはいえこの教本とDUOの知識はかなり役立ってます。
いろいろな単語を知ることができたので、試験ではなく日常の生活において単語の意味とか幅が広がった気がします。

次の英検に再チャレンジしようと思ってますが、教本と一緒にマジでDUOも読むことをお勧めします（ちなみにselectではなく3.0の分厚い方は買ったけど対象レベルが準1だったので難しかった）。
書き忘れましたが文法的な知識は準2のほうで習ったのか、この本では新しい文法知識はあまり出てきませんでした。
