　英検1級試験がどういうものなのか、分野別に練習問題を解きながら学ぶ本です。
　Term1(前半14日間)とTerm2(後半14日間)に分け、それぞれに短文語句補充、長文語句補充、英作文、リスニング問題があります。
　15日目に「レビューテスト」で前半部分の確認をし、30日目に英検と同じ形式の「実力完成模擬テスト」をして終わり・・・、という構成です。
　本書の帯には「一日分ずつしっかりやれば、英検対策は万全！」と印刷されていますけど、額面通り受け取る人は居ないでしょうけどね・・・。
　本書一冊だけでは全然足りませんので、アルク社の「4週間完成　新・英検1級攻略本」も併せてやった方がいいです。

ダイジェスト版のような問題集なのでこれだけで十分とはいえませんが、２色刷で見やすいし、１日分が少ないので、１日で3日分くらいできてしまう。この本をまずはやり終えて、後は弱点を補充するべく、他の問題集へ、というのが一番よさそう。見開きで問題と解答が分かれているので、電車の中でも勉強しやすい。英検１級の語彙問題は、非常に難しいので、最初から深入りすると、「こんなに覚えられないよぉ」ということになり、くじけやすい。まずはこの本で、全体を見渡し、語彙は難しいが、長文はなんとかなりそう、、、という印象を最初に持ってから、語彙対策をした方がよいと思う。ある程度の対策は必要であるが、あまり深追いしてもきりがないので、ＴＯＥＩＣ対策用や英検準1級レベルの単語は最低限マスターしておくぐらいで、長文や英作文やヒアリング対策をする方が、合格への近道かもしれない。

英検一級の傾向をつかむために買ったがこれは失敗だった。単語の練習問題はそこそこ使えるが、単語練習なら同じ旺文社の語彙・イディオム500で十分。悪い点を挙げるとまず長文問題が一級の傾向に沿っていない。一級は英文の言い換え、内容の言い換えで選択肢が構成されるがこの問題集はそうでないところが多い。しかも日本文で読んでも正答に微妙に納得いかないものもある。（論理的に解けない。）難易度は高くないがなんだかひたすら悪文を読まされているような気分になる。（日本人が書いた英文ではなかろうか。）

これを買うなら他の問題集を買ったほうが役に立つし、合格に近づく。ひさびさにできの悪い問題集に当たってしまった・・・。
