はっきりいってめちゃくちゃいい。基礎英文解釈の技術をやったが、どうもあわないのと、５回くらいやっても身につく感じがしないと思い、また基礎からばっちりかためようとおもい上と下をやったが、基礎英文解釈をわかりやすくし、さらにもっと基礎からたちかえってやってくれ、さらに何度もおなじことをやってくれてるのでいやでもみにつく。単語の説明もくわしいし、文句ない。これと下で十分。僕は別に一人の先生に固執しないし、それぞれの分野ですぐれてる先生がいるとおもっている。だけど別に竹岡先生にこだわってるから評価してるのではなく、この本がただ単純にいいとおもうから評価をしています。既存のものが評価よければ、信憑性あるし、すでにいい本あるんだから、これ以上必要ないでしょって思うかもしれないけど、これは画期的とまではいわないけど、？をのこすことなく確実にかためられるのはあまりないと思う。それに楽しいし。大事な受験で昔からの定評がある参考書に目がいくのはわかるけどどうしてもいきずまったらこれが助けてくれるとおもいます。

すばらしい本だと思います。
選ばれた英文に関しても、なぜそれを選んだかという意思が感じられます。
いわゆる凡百の参考書と違うのは、本の中に明確な意思を見出すことが出来るところです。

最も注目したいのは、集められた英文ではなく、
各トピックが英文を解釈するために連なっているという点です。

大雑把な本のトピックとして「動詞の働き」→「名詞の拡大｣→「接続詞のつながり」→「副詞用法」
というプロセスは、英文を読むようになれるひとつの流れを示しています。

項目別に英文法を学ぶのではなく、表現から学ぶことが出来る本のひとつだと、思います。

英文の読み方に関しての、学校の授業を受けているかの印象。
文章の内容とレベルは受験英語そのもの。
評論文・随筆文の一部を６〜７０文取り出して、語句の詳しい
説明と逐語訳の具体法を学ぶスタイル。
受験対策として高校１、２年生が基礎英文精講を始める前の
ウォーミングアップとして、または、高校３年生が知識の整理
を図るために一気通読するブラシュアップとして使えそうです。
完全独学が前提のやさしさに加え、おしゃれなレイアウトから
も購入者全員が読了出来るでしょう。
本書の次に論理展開のある文章を読み進めて、文脈判断から訳
語を決めたり、大意をまとめたりする訓練へ移行してゆけばよい
でしょう。そういう意味では、間違ってもこれ１冊で受験英文が
読めるようになるなどとは思わないこと。入試の長文を３、４個
読んだ程度の量に過ぎません。単なる序章だと心得るべきです。
尚、星を４つにしたのは、テキスト文字の色に好みが出そうな
ためです。
