人体のなかで関心度の低い「首」について、本書では「とても重要な器官。しかも大変弱い部位。しっかりとした知識が必要」と述べられていた。その上で、素人にわかりやすく、「首」のしくみ・疾患・治療法・健康管理法が説明されていた。「首」のしくみを概要把握できたことで、「首」の健康管理法が納得した形で頭に入ったことが、本書を読んでよかったことだと思う。

特定の治療法を宣伝するわけでなく、あっさりした内容だが、難しい首の仕組みやその病気について、やさしく書かれていて読みやすい。

長い長い腰痛との戦いも、三井先生のおかげで、なんとか
日常生活に支障がないところまできました。

と、思って喜んでいたら、１年ほど前から、肩こり、首のこりに
悩まされてきました。
腰の次は首？ヘルニア、脊柱管狭窄症も苦痛ですが、首のヘルニア
はもっとつらい、とききます。

そこで、三井先生の本。特に頚椎をめぐる、構造的な側面から、
首に起こる症状、病気、改善策などを、たいへんわかりやすく
述べられているのが本書。

三井先生の人柄がよく出ていて、読者、患者向けに、難しい言葉
や表現を極力使わないで、平易にわかりやすくお話されていて、
まずは、困ったら、こういう入門から入るのがよろしいかと。
