中学３年の子供に、化学と物理を簡単に教えられないか？と思ってこの本を手に取ったが、法則や原理をあまりにも簡単に説明しているので、理解するのがかなり難しい。化学や物理をきちんと理解している高校生や大学生が、復習を兼ねて読むのなら適切かも知れない。
