5.0 out of 5 stars 名作アニメ「ペリーヌ物語」の原作です, 2001/7/26

やっと祖父の住む村にたどり着いたペリーヌは、森の狩猟小屋に暮らしつつ、紡績工場に就職する。靴を作ったり魚を釣ったりの自由な生活は、思いがけず祖父の秘書役に任命されたことで終わりを告げる。ペリーヌの正体が明かされる日はいつ？

上巻の波乱万丈とはうってかわって、着実に足元をかためてゆくペリーヌの生活ぶりが描写されます。まずは自分の身の回りを整え、続いて祖父を助け、やがては企業と社員の生活をも変貌させてゆくペリーヌの手腕。「小公子」に似ていますが、そちらではセドリックという子供の生まれつきの善良さに主眼が置かれているのに対し、人間の知性と意志というものを一層たたえた作品になってるといえるでしょう。

5.0 out of 5 stars アニメ版ファンの読んだ“原作”。全然違うのでビックリ！, 2005/7/24
　まず、ペリーヌの母が完全な「インド人」であること。当時を思えば結婚を反対された理由がアニメよりわかりやすいです。確かアニメでは「インドの血が入ったイギリス人」だったような？ペリーヌの姿も、アニメでは普通の白人の女の子でしたが、原作は「金髪に褐色の肌」と、エキゾチック。…きっと難しい問題ヌキでお話を進めたかったんでしょうね。
　アニメでペリーヌの足をひっぱってばかりの犬「バロン」にイライラしてたので、原作にはいないことを知って安心して読めました。(ヒドイ子供…。)
　原作を読んだあとだと、アニメはじっくりゆっくりやりすぎたかんじに思えてきました。ずいぶん昔のアニメですから、テンポが遅くても仕方ないんでしょうね。名作劇場ですし…。
　それでも「ペリーヌ物語」は大事な思い出のアニメです。原作を知ることで、いろいろな見方が出来るようになってよかったと思ってます。

アニメの『ペリーヌ物語』は地味でした。確かに彼女は堅実で、謙虚で、地味です。
でも、不撓不屈のがんばりが、いつしか人の心を集めていきます。ペリーヌは正しいことを通す力、人に慈しみを与える力の大切さを改めて教えてくれる気がします。”運のよさ”というのは、自分自身が作り出すものだということを。

ペリーヌは「小公子」セディや「秘密の花園」のメアリのような子供ではもうありません。天真爛漫さは彼女の武器ではありません。悩みつつも自分を信じることで運を切り開く、そんな彼女の物語で、地味にがんばる自分を励ましてください。
