4.0 out of 5 stars 読みやすい新かなづかい新字体版, 2006/1/24
　この岩波文庫1990年版の緑帯シリーズは漱石全集のデザインを引用していますが旧かなづかい旧字体を新かなづかい新字体に編集部が書き直したものです。
　したがって旧かな旧字体に慣れない小中学生の方でも違和感無く読めるものと思います。
　またおおよその漢字には振り仮名がふってあり、独特のあて字の多い漱石の文章も苦労なく読めるものと思います。

　新かなづかい新字体については異論のある方もいると思いますが全集版を前に何回か読んでいる自分も途中まで気付かず、逆にその内容の今日的な事、古典落語に共通する東京話し言葉のリズムの通底、にあらためて気付かされる発見がありました。

猫好きにはたまらない本です。面白おかしく、そしてかわいい猫の
しぐさと行動。そして猫の視点から見た人間の姿。
登場人物も非常に個性的で、何度も笑わせられました。
この作品は長くて、色々なことが詰め込まれていて読みにくい部分も
多かったのですが。それを補って余りある面白さだと思います。
個人的には漱石先生の作品の中では１番好きです。

漱石のなかでは「猫」と「夢十夜」と「草枕」が好きだ。
この世に生まれ、全てを慈しみたいところだが、癪に障ることも多いのが現実。
漱石先生は癪に障る余り神経症まで患われた。

諦観すれば確認できる。
全てを明らかに観ることが出来れば、全てを確かに認めることが出来る。
しかし、漱石に見えた現実は、漱石には醜過ぎた。
彼は日本の近代を見通していた。現実を見る目が鋭過ぎた。

全てを慈しむには、日本の近代は醜過ぎた。
そこで漱石は、あるべき生活を「猫」に託した。
ロマンティックに諦観すれば、現実も美しい。
猫から見れば、人間も妖怪に映る。妖怪ならば美しい。
義理と仁義と色艶のある生活様式を持っているから。
「猫」という視点は、漱石の「草枕」にみる「夢」は、
漱石の浪漫的な諦観なのである。
だから、痛ましく切なく朗らかに美しい。

絶対お勧めの一冊。
とにかく面白いです。
