　他のシリーズと同様に、思わず微笑んでしまうジョージのあどけないかわいらしさが伝わる一冊です。
　ハロウィンパーティを題材にする絵本がまだまだ少ない中、日頃からジョージが好きな子供たちは、親しみを持って読みながら、仮装パーティやアップルボビンなどのハロウィンパーティの様子を知ることが出来ると思います。
　もちろんジョージファンの大人にもおすすめ。

おさるのジョージはもともと大好きですが、日本の絵本ではハロウィーンのものが少なくて、子供にハロウィーンのイメージだけでも教えたくて読ませました。ただ、２歳前半のうちの子にはまだ早かったみたいです。もう少し大きくなったらいいかな。ジョージが好きな私は大満足だったんだけど・・・。

　タイトルが「おさるのジョージ」とクレジットされて「ひとまねこざる」シリーズとは、作者がかわったせいもあって趣が違います。小さなこどもが目をきらきらさせて、好奇心のかたまりになって、いたずらざんまいしていく勢いが、スケールダウンされている感じがします。
　オリジナルシリーズのジョージが　街にでて、こどもの分身になって街のひとのやさしい目のもとあそぶのが主で、イベントは従であるというスタイルが、ハロウィンというイベントありきでこどもらしい天真爛漫さがスポイルされているせいかなと　おもいました。
　辛口の評価ですが　オリジナルシリーズを読破して、もっともっとジョージと遊びたいこどもには、その違いも含めて楽しむ分には十分楽しい絵本となっています。
