広辞苑は日本語の指標のように使われています。

新しい版が出たら、最新の用語の記述の不具合を探してみるのはどうでしょう。

今回の辞書ではおかしなところは見つけていません。

新たに買う必要があるかといわれれば、第５版を持っているのならいらないかもしれません。
第４版でも十分かもしれません。

第３版しかお持ちでない方は、購入を検討してはいかがでしょうか。
３０年以上経つと、とても用語が違います。

ps.
電子辞書なら、すぐに買い換えるとよいでしょう。

個人的には、広辞苑は第四版を長らく使ってきました。
今回の第六版を買おうと思うのですが、ひとつだけ
あったらいいな、と思うものがあります。
それはソフトな表紙のバージョンです。
他の辞典のようなビニールの表紙のものがあれば、もっと気軽に
使うことができると思うのですが……。
版型の大きさからは厳しいのでしょうかね。
どうも広辞苑は引くときのゴツゴツした感じがすきではありません。
「広辞苑はそういう辞典じゃない」と言われそうですが、
でも、従来版とは別に、お気軽版を出して欲しいです。
書棚に飾る辞書ではなく、箱も捨ててしまってカバーもはずして
毎日使う辞書として広辞苑を使いたいのです。

今回の広辞苑は新語の掲載がマスコミに大きく取り上げられているが、広辞苑の素晴らしい点は探したい言葉の意味を理解するに止まることなく、その近辺に掲載されている言葉も一緒に読めることである。

一方で、（一見便利と思われる）インターネットを利用して調べると、果たして本当に正しい意味なのか疑わしいほか、こうした効用を得ることが難しいと思う。

僅か数千円で知らないことを理解することが可能となる広辞苑は利用頻度や耐久性の面からみても格安である。
