丸谷才一の『笹まくら』をきっかけに購入した。『笹まくら』は「徴兵忌避者」を扱った小説。本書（『近代日本文化論(10)「戦争と軍隊」』には「反戦思想と徴兵忌避思想の系譜」（加藤陽子）という論文が収められている（本書は全部で10篇の論文を収めた論文集）。

全体的に。面白い着眼点を持つ論文もあるのだが、残念ながら平均すると「レジュメ」レベルの論文集だ。まあ、214 ページの書籍に10篇もの論文を収めればいたしかたないだろう。論文らしく、参考文献のリストはなかなか充実しているので、興味を持った分野に関しては参考文献を渉猟しろというスタンスなのだろう。やや残念な１冊だった。
