私は今大学院1年生です。
学部3年生の時にこの本（初版）と出会い、ここに紹介されている本を読みこなしていくうちに、自分の世界観が激しく揺さぶられ、見識が大いに広がり、多面的なものの見方ができるようになったと強く確信している。
そして新たに新版がでたので迷わずなけなしの金で即買い、今回も非常に満足しています。

ここで私が言いたいのはなんと言っても選別されている１０１冊の本の「センスの良さ」だ。
本は2種類にわけられる。それは「教養」と「専門」。
専門の本は社会人になってからでも読むであろうが、教養は時間にゆとりのある学生のうちにしか読めない（読もうとしない）
そしてどれだけ教養のある本を読みこなしたかで1度の人生の幅が決まると思う。
この本は古典に縛られず、縦横無尽に質の良い教養本を紹介してくれている。

中でも私が強く影響を受け、かつ、みなさんにも勧めたいのが

・「人間を幸福にしない日本というシステム」：ウォルフレン
・「君たちはどう生きるか」：吉野源三郎
・「知的複眼思考法」：刈谷剛彦
・「利己的な遺伝子」：ドーキンス
・「ワイルド・スワン」：ユン・チアン

読書好きの方はこれを見ただけで選別されている本のセンスの良さがわかっていただけるはずだ。
大学生に限らず、質のよい読書を求めている方は、この本に紹介されている101冊の本を参考にすることを強く勧める。

読んでないのにレビューもまずいのでしょうが、大学生のために一言。

この出版社は左向きで有名なので、知らないうちにそういったたぐいの本を薦められる可能性が高いのがリスクです。
勿論良い本も含まれているのは間違いないのでしょうが、そういう性格の出版社が出している本だということだけ頭の片隅においておいてもらえれば、思考のバランスは取れるのではないかと思います。

とにかく学生時代は難しい本をどんどん読んで自身を高めて下さい。
明日の日本を背負うのはあなた達ですから。
