非常に面白い本です。
量子力学の計算法を覚えて、とりあえず計算できるようにはなったけど、何か釈然としない・・などと言う漠然とした思いをお持ちの方には、目からうろこが落ちるような本であると思います。ファインマン一流の物理観に触れることができます。
あまり最初の一冊には向いていないかもしれませんし、これ一冊で量子力学を使いこなせるというものでは無いと思いますが、別の本で一通り学んだ後にこの本を読むと非常に理解が深まると思います。

ちなみに、ファインマン物理学はファインマンのカルテクでの講義が元になっていますが、その講義の録音がCDで手に入ります。私は、車で遠出をする際に、CDでファインマンの肉声を聞きながら読んだ内容を復習したりしています。英語の聞き取り練習にもなるし、お薦めです。

他の方がレビューに書いているとおり、とても面白い本です。
翻訳したのが砂川重信先生で、大家が行ったものなので、なんとなく
安心して読める感があります。
ただ原著だと、もっと薄いので案外そっちもいいかもしれません。
ユニークだと思うのが、最初の方でブラケット記号を導入、
というか感覚的？に具体例をとって説明してます。
個人的には経路積分主体の量子力学のスタイルをほのめかしている
感じがしました。
最後のほうには超伝導の話なんかもついてます。

量子力学を一度勉強した人も一読する価値はあると思います。

初めてちゃんと読んだ量子力学の教科書です。これは量子力学を使えるようになるための教科書とはいえないかもしれません。しかし、物理観を養い、量子力学もっというと物理が非常に面白い分野だと感じさせてくれる本です。ベストセラー本のようにワクワクして読んだように記憶しています。大げさかもしれませんが、これを読んで面白いと思えない人は物理は向かないかもしれません。これ以外の本では、J.J.Sakurai、Dirac、猪木・川合、山内恭彦が僕は好きです。FeynmanとSakurai、Diracは非常に個性があってどれも違う感銘を与えてくれます。後のふたつは量子力学を使えるようになる教科書といえるでしょうか?
